The Event to benefit cancer fight

The “March of Brides” fashion event, hosted by Six Degrees Magazine and designer Isabella Margianu, will be held at Tongue & Groove in Buckhead on Friday, March 30 from 7:30 - 10 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Georgia Cancer Foundation.

For the $25 price of admission, guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind fashion show, silent auction, open bar, and an array of hors d’oeuvres, succulent treats, and tempting sweets, according to organizers of the event.

The main event includes a preview fashion presentation, featuring a sneak peek of Isabella Margianu’s 2007 fall line of bridal gown designs before she debuts them to the public in New York.

Guests can also bid on a variety of silent-auction items donated by local businesses, including a $2,500 bridal gown certificate, and other gifts from restaurants, hair salons, day spas, photographers, and other upscale area establishments.

Food and beverages will also be provided, including complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and an open bar.

“We are thankful that a Georgia designer, and local businesses, are partnering to help the Georgia Cancer Foundation,” said Brenda Horne, director of development for the foundation. “The money raised will help us achieve our mission to provide cancer education, early detection programs, and support for patients and families.”

“March of Brides” fashion event sponsors include Six Degrees Magazine, Tongue & Groove, Peroni, Absolut, Orna’s Taste of Success Cakes, Pinson Bridal Artistry, Fit Fiancé, Fruit Flowers, Be Zaar Events, The Whole Shebang, Ivy Bridal Veils, and Flo Water.
